Introducing the BOSScsc®
Crossing Support Catheter
Our mission is to develop catheter based solutions that directly address clinical challenges in interventional CLI/CLTI limb salvage revascularizations. We believe purpose built technology leads to more successful procedures and better outcomes for patients.
We are a privately held catheter technology company that connects the clinician to world class catheter engineering. Our approach delivers devices to address unmet challenges and often leads to simple solutions for complex problems.
The Iatri Devices team is a diverse group of medical device and clinician innovators bringing together over 150 years of experience in advanced interventional catheter based technologies and limb salvage revascularization procedures.
Technology Advancements for Complex Disease
BOSScsc® Crossing Support Catheter
We started with a clear mission: to bring engineers and multi specialty clinicians together to create a crossing support catheter system that was specifically built to better manage complex, heavily calcified peripheral lesions. Our clinical partners needed a device that carries the durability to complete the procedure without failure, provide the ultimate in guidewire support, and have the trackability & pushability to successfully traverse all of the challenges present in peripheral revascularizations. We set out to design a simple, cost effective device to address a complex problem.
Experiencing catheter buckling and fatigue failures are frustrating, add time, and cost to procedures. These are common failures that are avoided with our monolithic coaxial design built into the BOSScsc®. Our MonoTech™ technology delivers unmatched catheter body and tip strength by incorporating one of the most advanced medical device polymers available.
Having a support catheter that can handle torque, extreme pushability, and deliver a reliable tip response is critical. The BOSScsc® with its MonoTech™ technology is built to withstand high torque clinical situations with unmatched pushability and tactile feel. This torque and pushability is especially effective when crossing long, highly calcified lesions and CTO's. By simply rotating our BOSScsc® catheters they propel forward, advancing through the most challenging crossing situations.
The BOSScsc® is a non-tapered coaxial design allowing the .018" catheters to operate within the .035" catheters, delivering telescoping performance in clinical situations requiring maximum support. The catheter hubs of the BOSScsc® are designed to be rotated and they couple together when telescoping, allowing the two individual catheters to operate as a single catheter system.
The challenge was to design a durable catheter body with the leverage of a rigid catheter, yet the flexibility to manage extreme tortuosity experienced in below the ankle (BTA) clinical procedures. To meet this challenge, the BOSScsc® was engineered with an ultra-low crossing profile coupled with the most advanced and proven hydrophilic coating on the market.
The BOSScsc® Crossing Support Catheter platform is FDA 510(k) cleared to be used in the U.S.A. to guide and support a guidewire during access of the peripheral vasculature, allow for wire exchanges, and provide a conduit for the delivery of saline solutions or diagnostic contrast agents.
